This also brings a collection of magical objects that become vital to survival in Season 2.
Nancy drew the final scene ending full#
Among those entities were the Iamia and the children it killed a hundred years ago, a dress chock full of sexual energy, an entity that kills anyone that knows its name (AKA the Grimathorne, pass it on), and, well, more.

This single impulse ushers in the mysteries the crew would be solving for a good portion of Season 2. Naturally, in the course of trying to save George, Nancy opened a wall of Pandora’s Boxes, each containing a supernatural entity or magical object. If we go back to the shroud that made Odette’s possession of George an option, that leads us straight to the next major wrinkle in Season 2’s fabric. It’s a noble exit for Odette, but it’s hard not to hope that there is a better solution to the problem that could come in Season 3 or (crosses fingers) 4. She wants George to live out her shortened lifespan and spend time with her loved ones. The Odette story wraps up at the end of Season 2 with Odette volunteering to not vie for control anymore. They bond and date a bit, but until George gives the okay, don’t take their romance to any physical level. Since there isn’t any feasible way to evict Odette, the two souls sharing one body agree to work together to allow both of them to get what they want out of George’s body’s now shortened lifespan.Īlso worth noting, Odette develops a pretty sizable crush on Bess.

After many failed attempts to oust Odette from her happy new home, the Drew Crew hit a pretty solid brick wall of impossibility. This ultimately leads to George and Odette striking a deal. As mentioned above, Odette Lamar is time-sharing in George’s body, popping out at inconvenient times and basically being a nuisance in an effort to gain more and more control. The next major storyline blossoms right out of the end of the Aglaeca. Which brings us to the next big complication for Season 2. When Nancy ran in with the shroud and revived George, she unknowingly revived a passenger right along with her. You see, instead of moving on or crossing over or whatever supernatural entities do when they are freed from their anger, Odette latches onto George’s (momentarily) dead body. They don’t kill the Aglaeca, however, but merely dispel the angry entity, releasing Odette Lamar’s spirit, but she finds a new way to complicate things. They try returning the bones to the sea to settle their debt, as well as a myriad of weapons to try and fight her, but ultimately, the only way to bring down the series’ scariest baddie to date was with her very own words - Love was really the only weapon worth yielding in the end. When they refused to let her take Owen, the Aglaeca’s wrath fell upon their heads instead.

The Aglaeca, you will recall, is a sea spirit the Drew Crew summoned to help them find Lucy Sable’s bones, but who demanded Owen Marvin’s life in return. Thanks to a need to recover Lucy Sable’s bones in Season 1, Season 2 begins with Nancy and crew looking for a way to survive the Aglaeca’s vengeance. RELATED: 'Nancy Drew' Season 3: Nick and George's Relationship Needs to Slow Down Season 2 was a little more complex, so if you need a refresher course, read on, Drewds. Season 1 had us focused on the mystery of Lucy Sable’s death as she haunted Nancy into solving her murder. Starring Kennedy McMann as the titular heroine, the CW has adapted it into a college-aged supernatural mystery show as Nancy and her friends, George ( Leah Lewis), Nick ( Tunji Kasim), Bess ( Maddison Jaizani), and Ace ( Alex Saxon) have made it their personal mission to protect the town from the supernatural things they can’t or won’t see. Nancy Drew is a modern take on the world famous girl detective book series. But now we’re so very close to getting answers to a lot of outstanding questions in Season 3. We learned quite a bit about Nancy and her friends last season, whether they were dealing with Aglaeca craziness, fighting good old-fashioned organized crime, or trying to rid George of her pesky traveler. For Nancy Drew fans, it’s been a very long summer.
